The conference is planned, hold, and executed by the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University. The main issues of the conference are institutions, transition, in-and-out, etc. The conference aims at escaping the historiography-based, and iconography-based research method, and combining the multi-linear mechanism of organization, materials, curation, and market, and reviewing the interrelationship among them, and reconstructing the cotemporary meaning of Taiwanese history of art.
The conference will hold in the Lecture Hall, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, from 17-18 November, 2018. The renowned Taiwanese scholars are invited to give lecture talk and inter-disciplinary discussion, according to different areas and sub-themes.
Besides, in order to enhance the capabilities of international communication and academic participation, the conference holds the young scholars workshops and forums for exchanging research findings. The perspective of new generation is broadened by the exploration of Taiwanese fine arts, through the impromptu presentation and active response.
The possible directions of the reconstruction of meaning of Taiwanese history of art are provided through the multi-linear presentation of the academic vision of the conference. At the same time, the conference also connects the different opinions of Taiwanese and international scholars of different generations, reflects the deductive trends of academic vision, in order to figure out the given locality of Taiwanese history of fine arts in Asia and global academic network, and broaden the international horizon.
